Mitt Romney’s Debt Hypocrisy

• Mitt Romney’s campaign of fiscal responsibility is hypocritical considering he made his immense fortune by saddling others with massive amounts of debt.

• Romney made $250 million by loading up companies with debt, then extracting million-dollar fees for ‘advice’ on how to finance the debt he burdened them with.

• When companies are saddled with this kind of debt, two things can happen: they can fire workers and slash benefits to make the payments, or they can go bankrupt. Corporate raiders like Romney make money either way.

• That he could make his fortune by using taxpayer-subsidized debt to enrich billionaires and then campaign on the evils of debt is representative of the sociopathy that has taken root in Wall Street.
